About PromptRec Mac

Screen + Camera Mode

Camera appears as a floating PiP box — drag it anywhere, resize it with the corner handle or S/M/L presets.
The final recording is a merged composite — screen content + camera PiP baked into one video at record time.
The floating PiP stays visible even when you switch browser tabs (it's a fixed overlay).

Browser Limitations

Screen recording requires getDisplayMedia and must be initiated by a user gesture.
Exact window/app capture depends on OS-level permissions (macOS System Settings → Privacy → Screen Recording).
File System Access API (save-to-folder) is only available in Chromium browsers.
Output format is limited to what MediaRecorder supports — typically WebM (VP9 + Opus) on Chrome.
